pulvis et umbra sumus

A newly created book can be associated with our younger self. With its freshly minted pages, delicate designs, and an absence of a crease, it is ready to impart its existence to the world.

With every hand that touched its leather-bound cover, each new page leaves an impression on its readers, ready to take charge of the battle that lies ahead.

Not long after, the book has served its purpose. Its pristine condition was replaced with age-old coffee stains with the smell of your grandmother’s cooking.

Created through fire, and destroyed by fire.

And return to where we come from: the ground beneath us.

We are but dust and shadows.
